Inaugural Winner of the Blakeman Prize Announced

Congratulations Mark Grandison the winner of the inaugural Blakeman National composition prize. Mark was awarded the prize for his work Riffraction for clarinet, strings and piano.
The award was presented by Professor Andrew Schulz at the Australia Ensemble’s fourth subscription concert on Saturday August 13 in Clancy Auditorium.

Professor Schulz also announced there will soon be the release of the Blakeman Student Composition Prize for 2017, which will be open to all enrolled UNSW students. The National prize is offered in alternate years.
