CMC S1 Wk2 reh 2017 2
Collegium Musicum Choir

Both UNSW's Burgundian Consort and Collegium Musicum Choir will take to the Clancy Auditorium stage on Sunday October 22 for a lush program of Ralph Vaughan Williams and John Rutter.

Following the success of its annual recital, the Burgundian Consort will be joined by Australia Ensemble flautist Geoffrey Collins for Rutter's Musica Dei donum as well as his sprightly Cantate Domino

The Collegium Musicum Choir breaks into eight-part chorus, and welcomes UNSW alumna Ria Andriani as guest soprano in Vaughan Williams' Mass in G minor, alongside CMC members and UNSW alumni Anneke Strupitis-Haddrick (alto) and Andrew Martin (baritone), and UNSW staff member Stuart Prescott (tenor), accompanied by guest organist Kurt Ison.

The program is completely by the ensemble version of Rutter's magnificent Requiem, scored for flute (Geoffrey Collins), oboe (Alexandre Oguey), harp (Genevieve Lang), cello (Paul Stender), percussion (Tim Paillas and Tim Brigden) and organ (Kurt Ison), with Collegium Musicum Choir member Sarah Winnel shining as soprano soloist.
