LIME 2023 Term 1 Program and Concert

The Music Performance Unit welcomes everyone back to another year of wonderful music-making!

The Large Instrumental Music Ensembles (LIME) at UNSW include the UNSW Wind Symphony and UNSW Orchestra, which are managed by the Music Performance Unit with members supported by the Society of Orchestra and Pipers.

This term, the UNSW Orchestra will be working on three spectacular works under the guidance of conductor, Steven Hillinger:

  • BRAHMS Tragic Overture Op. 81
  • SAINT-SAËNS Samson et Dalila - Bacchanale
  • TCHAIKOVSKY Slavonic March Op. 31

The UNSW Wind Symphony will be also be playing three works under the guidance of conductor, Paul Vickers:

  • GRAINGER The Lads Of Wamphray
  • TCHAIKOVSKY Romeo and Juliet Overture Trans. Hindsley
  • BERNSTEIN Four Dances from West Side Story

The combined LIME concert for Term 1 will be held on Friday 21st of April 2023, 7pm, at Sir John Clancy Auditorium.

Please hold the dates and share with friends and family to ensure our ensembles are heard and congratulated over the hard work they will have put in throughout the term!
