SOAP O-Week Stall

SOAP
Society of Orchestra and Pipers

O-Week is a great place to discover new societies and get involved with culture. SOAP will be hosting their very own stand! Come visit SOAP during O-Week from the 6th-9th February and chat with our Orchestra and Wind Symphony members. Here you will get to know what a SOAP membership offers, how to get involved in music on campus, and sign up for those last minute auditions. If you have any burning questions about ensembles, rehearsals, social events and concerts, please come find our team during O- Week, and we'll be happy to help.

CALL OUT
If you are a former Orchestra or Wind Symphony member from 2022 and would like to get involved at the SOAP O-Week stall, please email societyoforchestraandpipers@gmail.com expressing interest and a SOAP representative will be in touch!

The UNSW Society of Orchestra and Pipers (SOAP) is the student-run collective associated with the university’s Large Instrumental Music Ensembles (LIME), namely the UNSW Orchestra and UNSW Wind Symphony. It was established during Colin Piper’s reign as orchestra conductor, hence the use of ‘Piper’ in the name. ‘Piper’ also alludes to brass and woodwinds.

Supported by Arc@UNSW and the Music Performance Unit, our goal is to be an accessible platform for music performance, engagement and sharing. SOAP hold regular events for members to help increase ensemble cohesion and to bring people together through their love of music.
