The UNSW Wind Symphony and UNSW Orchestra combine forces for their opening concert of 2017, Cosmopolitan Variations, with a huge program in UNSW's Clancy Auditorium.

The March 31 concert includes some gems of the wind symphony repertory, including Whitacre's Sleep, Grainger's Handel in the Strand and Mackey's Foundry, as well as the premiere performance of a newly composed work by UNSW Music alumnus Stuart Rynn, entitled Aviary. The UNSW Orchestra will perform such delights as Mozart's Don Giovanni overture, Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin's Mystic, and Britten's masterpiece, A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.

Tickets are now available online, with discounts for families, students and UNSW Arc members.
