The Music Performance Unit and the Immersive Technology team at UNSW have been collaborating on a Virtual Reality experience for the past 6 months.
It has involved countless hours of technical work, cameras, lots of cameras, hours of instrumental and vocal practice, the involvement of 130 UNSW musicians from UNSW Orchestra and Collegium Musicum Choir and an epic performance of Carmina Burana's very famous O Fortuna!
Today, we road tested the experience with UNSW SOAP - Society of Orchestra And Pipers President, Ernest Quah. The full VR experience will drop on campus in O Week for students and community to see and experience first hand the types of activities you can get involved with at UNSW.
