The sounds of nightfall

The Burgundian Consort ventured outside for an impromptu performance

The spectacular sunset on Monday May 9 was made all the more spectacular for those walking down the main walkway at UNSW by the Burgundian Consort. The chamber choir ventured outdoors for an impromptu performance of some of the night-themed repertoire from their September recital program, including Wilbye's 'Draw on, sweet night', Kodaly's exquisite 'Esti dal' and the second of Gorecki's 'Five Kurpian Songs'.

Hopefully it was an unexpected treat for passers-by!
